After teaching at JCYS’s Lakeview center for 11 years, Turhan joined the leadership team at JCYS Wicker Park and played an integral role in opening the center in August 2016. Turhan passionately believes in a Reggio-inspired, emergent curriculum based on cooperative, play-based learning. With a Master’s degree in fine art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago along with a second Master’s degree in education from DePaul, Turhan brings a holistic perspective to JCYS Wicker Park.
